E-Safety Training for All Staff – Supporting Online Safety at Our School
On 20th May 2026, all staff at our school took part in a dedicated E-Safety (Online Safety) training session delivered by specialist trainers The Two Johns.
The Two Johns are experienced former police officers and nationally recognised online safety experts who work with schools, parents, and professionals across the UK. They specialise in helping schools understand the risks children may face online and how to keep them safe in an ever-changing digital world.
During the training, staff explored a range of important safeguarding topics, including:
- The latest online trends and apps used by children and young people
- Online grooming risks and how to recognise warning signs
- Privacy settings, location sharing, and digital footprints
- Safe use of gaming platforms and social media
- How to respond to online safety concerns effectively
- Practical strategies to support pupils in making safer choices online
The session was highly informative and provided valuable real-life examples, helping staff to stay up to date with current online risks and safeguarding practices.
This training forms an important part of our ongoing commitment to keeping children safe online. It ensures that all staff are confident in supporting pupils, promoting responsible internet use, and responding appropriately to any concerns that may arise.
We will continue to work closely with parents and carers to reinforce key online safety messages at home and in school.
